We explored Japanese picture writing for places to go.

We learned that Japanese picture-writing often
shows the meaning of the word.
We learned that木 means ki [tree].
Lots of trees make a 森 mori [forest].

Other picture-writing we have looked at are:
川 kawa [river] and 山 yama [mountain].

We had fun making yama in the sandpit!
